Nordic Combined Ski Canada is pleased to welcome Richard Elms as a director. Elms will serve as the organization’s treasurer.
Elms, who goes by the name Ritz, is a former athlete of the National Development team for Nordic Combined Ski Canada (NCSC) and has competed across North America.
“Nordic Combined taught me many life lessons,” said Elms. “The sport taught me how to work individually to accomplish goals and how to work together as a team to push each other to get the best results possible as team.”
Elms passed the CFE exam for CPA Canada and is currently finishing the work experience requirements for a CPA designation.
He works in the treasury function at TransAlta Corporation and TransAlta Renewables.
In his spare time, he enjoys golf, hockey, baseball and downhill skiing.
“I look forward to taking on the responsibilities as Treasurer for NCSC and being a part of a team that can help our current Athletes of the sport propel to new heights in the future,” Elms said.
