The North American Jindro Mayer Springer Tournee is the largest ski jumping and Nordic Combined event of the year. This year’s tournament was held in Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah from July 22 to 27, 2019. The event brought ski jumping programs from East to West together from Canada and the United States from U10 up to National team athletes and families.

The Jindro Mayer Springer Tournee has a Calgary connection. Jindro Mayer came from the Czech Republic to coach in Calgary. Sadly, Jindro and his daughter were killed in a car accident in 2004. Jindro’s character inspired people to do more and come together in sport thus the reason for the continued Springer Tournee. The Springer Tournee helps to grow the culture, community, and the sport which carries on the legacy of Jindro Mayer.

The goal of the tournament is for the athletes to take with them more courage, confidence, and character thanks to the inspiration and mentorship from the National Team athletes and staff.
